A/Prof Mark Adams
MBBS PhD DDU FRACP FACC

  • Associate Professor of Medicine, Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney
  • Head of Department, Senior Staff Specialist, Department of Cardiology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital,.
  • Cardiologist (Visiting Medical Officer) Strathfield Private Hospital
  • Professor Mark Adams graduated with first class honours from the University of Sydney in 1987 and completed general cardiology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before completing a PhD at the Heart Research Institute and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. These studies into the cellular mechanisms involved in the early development of coronary atherosclerosis, led to the award of the Ralph Reader Prize in 1996.

Postdoctoral studies and training in Interventional Cardiology were pursued at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard University in Boston prior to taking up a position as an interventional cardiologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 1999.

Professor Adams does not consult in our Private Rooms.  To arrange a consultation, please contact the Cardiology Department at The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
